Boardman Bikes is a Britain based bicycle manufacturing company, established in the year 2007, founded by
one of the most popular professional cyclists “Chris Boardman”. Boardman has been a World Champion for
three times, including an Olympic championship and World Record holder, as well as a yellow Jersey wearer of
Tour de France on three occasions. When Alan Ingarfield and Chris Boardman MBE came together with their
shared ambitions they decided to develop a bike manufacturing company. The company was started with the
galvanization of experts in each and every area from investors, design engineers, frame builders, marketing and
specialized cycling business acumen.
At present, the operations and the management of the company is maintained by Chris Boardman acting as
the head of Research & Development along with the special project program B56, Sarah Mooney as Director
of Finance and the former UK Ironman record holder Alan Ingarfield is named as the CEO of the company.
Alongside the maintenance of Research & Development department, Chris Boardman is also engaged in the
responsibilities of coaching the Great Britain Cycling team.
Today, the company is responsible for producing a wide range of models in various categories, including
road bikes, MTB/HT bikes, MTB full suspension bikes, ProCX bikes and Hybrid limited edition bikes with the
implementation of advanced technology. These Hybrid bikes are specially designed with super butted ultralight
aluminium frame with special paint finish, SRAM Rival 20 speed with Double Tap gearing and S950 BB30
compact carbon chainset, lightweight carbon fiber forks, Ritchey WCS/Pro and Pro rims with sealed bearing
hubs.
Currently, Boardman Bikes have sponsored the 2009 UK Triathlon National Champion.Will Clarke, 2009 ETU
Junior Triathlon European Champion Jonathan Brownlee, 2009 ITU World Triathlon Champion and 2010 ETU
Triathlon Champion Alistair Brownlee and 2009 under 23 ITU World Triathlon Champion Hollie Avil. The
Boardman bikes ridden by other world-class riders have won Olympic golds, world, European and national
championships across MTB, Triathlon and Road racing events.
