Marin Bikes was established in the year 1986 at San Anselmo town of Marin County, California. As
everyone might know, the company is named after where it’s located. The 66 bicycle models produced by
the company are also named after locations in and around Marin County.
Marin Bikes started to manufacture full suspension mountain bikes in the late 1990s, following the
production of single-pivot rear suspension. Working with a British engineer and the Benetton Formula
One car racing team’s gearbox design crew, Jon Whyte, constantly added the quad link suspensions,
that have have still maintained the popularity. The Travel And Ride Adjustable simply know as TARA
especially, which can be adjusted according to the body ride height, usually with the coilovers, is very
popular to this day.
The frame of the Marin’s mountain bikes are designed using the conventional hard-tail bikes’ steel frame,
developed with the decisive advantage of carbon fiber, titanium and aluminium and released in the
dominated steel bike market.
In the year 2010, the company celebrated it’s 24th anniversary in the company’s corporate offices in the
Mt. Tamalpais, With the successful completion of 25 years, the company is planning to launch hundreds
of new, as well as the upgraded version of old models, that are available across all the categories,
including for the kids and women.
Robert Buckley, the founder of almost 25 year old bicycle manufacturing company started implement and
produce bicycles that are durable, light-weighted and designed to provide riders with the highest quality
riding experience since the mid 2000s, assuming that the company has lost sight of the core values,
which was one of the most inspiring period for the company’s management and staff that resulted in the
manufacturing some of the most high tech bikes of all the time for every category of bicycle riders and the
